The importance of a CV
The primary purpose of a CV is to get you an interview, it will increase
your prospects of getting the job you want. You should have one
prepared in advance, in order to respond immediately to a given request.
It should contain just enough information to show your suitability when
you respond to a position via an advert or recruitment agency. It is
unusual for a recruitment professional to act on your behalf without a CV.
It also serves as a memory jogger to both prospective employers,
recruitment consultancies and ultimately yourself.
