An Olympic 12 Month Guarantee

2012[3].jpg

In recent weeks Ainsley Morgan has reported the steady increase in permanent vacancies throughout 2012. Figures published this week by the REC/KPMG show that this growth has been maintained throughout April and is continuing into May. With candidates being offered greater stability in the job market and a range of opportunities; clients can ensure their own stability with a One Year Replacement Guarantee from Ainsley Morgan Appointments.

As highlighted in our previous mailshot, companies need to offer competitive work opportunities in order to keep talent. Whilst there is much that an employer can do personally to maintain staff levels, candidates will always be tempted by other opportunities, particularly in a growing market place. For the past sixteen years Ainsley Morgan has offered all of its clients a 6 Month replacement guarantee. This means that should the applicant leave within 6 months, for whatever reason, or prove unsuitable

Keeping the Balance

Last week Ainsley Morgan reported that the number of permanent positions on offer had increased since the introduction of AWR (Agency Worker Regulations) in October 2011. Following this, the BBC has recently published figures from the Office for National Statistics which show “Unemployment fell by 35,000 to 2.65 million over the December-to-February period”[1]. With the first recorded growth in employment since last spring, are businesses prepared to attract new talent and keep hold of current staff?

High levels of unemployment and a lack of permanent jobs has seen many workers stick with their current employer even if they would ideally like to find a new position. A change of job could result in a loss of income all together and as such it can be safer to wait for the market to improve. The rise in permanent employment could provide stability to staff considering a move and businesses may

Spring Forward - Don't Fall Back!

We hope you have all enjoyed the Easter break and still have one or two eggs left to eat. As the sun begins to shine on a new financial year, it seems as though the economy may be about to put a spring in its step…

Over the last three months Ainsley Morgan Appointments has seen the number of permanent vacancies on offer begin to grow and this is reflected in figures published by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC). This increase is most likely the result of temporary workers being made permanent following the Agency Worker Regulations (AWR) planted at the end of 2011. These measures ensure that contract workers are offered the same entitlements as permanent staff following 12 weeks employment. These figures bring new life to the job market which, according to the Office for National Statistics, saw a rise in unemployment by 28,000 during

Career Today...Gone Tomorrow!

Finding a job during a recession is often difficult, but finding a career can be even harder. With most vacancies receiving an unprecedented number of applications could it be that people are offering their experience towards a stopgap rather than a career path?

According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS) unemployment in the UK rose to 2.67 million by December 2011. A considerable number of these individuals are aged between 16-24 years old and looking for their first full time position. Competition for graduate placements and entry level positions has always been high but the current economy has caused this to increase even further. In January 2012, PWC boss Ian Powell told The Telegraph that the firm was on target to receive 30,000 applications for just 1,200 graduate schemes. Whilst many of these candidates are seeking a desired position, others are looking to hedge their bets in
