Credit Services Representative
The Guarantee’s Group within Credit Services is responsible for handling the Issuance of Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit for EMEA on behalf of their Corporate Clients, Branches and other Financial Institutions. This position has created an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to gain an understanding of the Credit Services functions and that of their Business partners.
Responsibilities
An opportunity has arisen for an individual to join the EMEA Guarantees/SBLC’s Group. The successful candidate will work in the Guarantees Team that consists of 8 Team members.
As a Guarantees Analyst you will be responsible for:
- Your own Branch/branches, processing the Issuance and maintenance of all incoming requests.
- Ensuring that all necessary deadlines are met, quality standards maintained and client expectations strictly adhered to.
- There is further potential to cross train on the other branches and assisting and/or leading existing and/or new projects.
- Provide a specialised banking service i.e. the issuance and maintenance of Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credits to GTS Clients within EMEA (except Greece)
- Liaise directly with Clients and Branches, handle all enquiries and resolve issues using own initiative, knowledge and other business partners.
- Liaising closely with Portfolio Management, Internal/External Legal Counsel and the Sales Group on a daily basis.
- Maintain and improve quality service and products through initiating and implementing new initiatives to drive the department forward.
- Opportunities to engage in projects driven by ourselves or other business partners.
- Manage risk by ensuring strong controls are in place and minimise financial losses.
Requirements
- Previous Guarantees experience would be highly desirable
- English language at business level, both written and oral
- Minimum of one European language, both written and oral, preferably Dutch with one other European language would be a benefit
- Must have strong attention to detail must be accurate and precise, to be able to work independently and under pressure.
- GBS and Microsoft Office knowledge highly desirable
- Excellent Communication skills at all levels and across all disciplines.
- Previous work experience essential
- Previous Para-Legal experience of advantage
